Paradox of Our Time

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less.

We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too seldom, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; we've added years to life, not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; we've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less; we plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait; we have higher incomes, but lower morals; we have more food, but less appeasement; we build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; we've become long on quantity, but short on quality.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.

These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology has brought this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a difference, or to just hit delete...

*it's indeed true* @by Dr. Bob Moorehead

lets' talk about l:)ve

A lot of us have build our dreams, kasama ang mga taong inaasahan natin.
People we hoped, would be with us forever.
Life is constant cycle,of finding and losing, of making and breaking, of dying and living.
When our hearts dies,  it stops' beating, pero iba ang pag-ibig.
we feel that love has died.
It would only go into a deep slumber, and could one day be awakened by someone who could unlock our hearts.
and we live in a dark and lonely world kung saan naiisip at inaakala natin na safe tayo.
Pero hindi pwedeng tumira sa daigdig na 'yon forever, isang araw, we would open the window to see if the storm was over,
otherwise we wouldn't know when to live our life again.
Its better to enjoy life committing mistakes and learn,
rather than playing safe in our entire life and learned nothing at all.
It is the presence of the soul that makes us to live, but it is the presence of love that makes us want to live.
Magka-minsan iniisip natin, that loving someone is only a risky thing.
However, if you win by not taking chances, you don't lose by giving up, but you lose because you are holding back.
Let Love look for you so that the feeling is sure.
Yes, it drives you crazy, makes you look stupid, mad, jealous, and sad and even cause you a sleepless nights, and break your heart, well, come to think of it.
It’s ok to fall in love and love.
But the true love is not about when your hearts beats fast,
but when the heart beats no more and the love remains and is still there.
If you love a person with no valid reason then you’re only using your heart as well as, that person,
the term for that is "Convenience".
Kung nagmahal ka ng matagal na panahon ng totoo, at marami na ang nangyari (sacrifice), tapos 'heartbreak' lang ang inabot mo, maybe you just want to "Revenge".
Bakit hindi mo na lang hayaan  ang taong mahal mo, don't own that person,
who knows love might be sweeter at the second time around.
Mahirap hanapin ang totoong pag-ibig, people care to caught up, looking for someone who is perfect, but don't be like this, just be yourself, show that person the real you.
Huwag kang magpanggap (pretend), na hindi mo mahal ang isang tao but you really do.
Once you are in love, you always loved for what on your mind (heart) tells you.
You may escape, but what’s on your heart would remain forever.
Love is not a word to say when we love, but aside from that, it is really a matter when we share thoughts, minds, and hearts as well soul.
"Don't be to good, I might miss you"
“Don't be to caring, I might like you"
"Don't be to sweet, I might fall"
I t only stops when we give up, and stop believing!!")
@broken strings..i am miss leigh..

pool drained for repairs

A swimmer went to practice,
the lights are all off.
Only the moonlight was bright,
he climbed up to the highest diving board,
turned his back to the pool and extended his arms out.
He noticed his shadow formed a cross shape.
Instead of diving'
he knelt down and cried out to God to come into his life.
Suddenly, someone walks in and turned the lights on.
He cried even more when he saw that

the pool was drained for repairs...
